WHO are we? A recreational folk dance group open to all. No partners needed. NIFD classes are co-sponsored by Nashville Metro Parks.

WHAT do we do? Enjoy learning new and reviewing old favorite international folk dances from (in alphabetical order): Albania, Armenia, Assyria, Azerbaijan, Brittany, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Lebanon, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Russia, Scandinavian countries, Serbia, Slovakia, Turkey, Ukraine. We have an excellent minidisk collection of international music to which we dance. See our playlist for more details on the NIFD repertoire.

WHEN do we do this? Every Tuesday, 7:00-9:00 p.m., with warm-up dancing from 7:00-7:45, teaching from 7:45-8:15, and request dancing from 8:15-9:00. WHAT is the cost? $15.00 per session. We have 3 sessions per year – September through December, January through April, and May through August.

WHY do we do this? To learn about other cultures through their village dances.
To exercise our minds and bodies.
To socialize with some of the nicest people on planet Earth.
